Where has the Sci Fi Gone?

The world of Sci Fi seems to be turning towards cranking out low budget silliness that sometimes have their moments, but for the most part is as dry as a date on ecstasy.

Most of what I am talking about is movies and shorts from the SciFi Channel. The subject matter of most of the movies put out is intriguing, but at best doesn't deliver in the long run.

Well gone are the days of brilliance such as Star Trek, Star Trek Generations and even the Lost In Space Series. The recent Galactica Series lost me 25% of the way through simply because of the Starbuck characters need to be apparently whiney and such a wannabe rebel. The darkness of the sets, the constant total lack of humor totally turned me off from the series.

STOP making HULK movies! They SUCK!

And the animal movies. Holy freaking god, fish and snake movies? Stop it!

I kind of like the Fantastic Four, I am sure it stems from my comic book days. Iron man was good although slightly lacking in character

Most movies you see today, you see all the good parts in the trailers. Download the trailers, save your money and eat your own popcorn.
