As we have done previously with Virgo, we’re going to pin down airy Libra’s love life. How they deal with relationships, their strengths and weaknesses; how they could make things better, where it could all go wrong unless they are aware of the pitfalls. Come and discover how Libra and love get along. We’re starting with people born on the Virgo-Libra Cusp.
Virgo—Libra Cusp: September 19—24
People born during this week have earth and air traits in their personality. So you have a combination of sensible feet-on-the ground types and those who are able to let their imaginations roam. One of their key characteristics is that, as they reach maturity, they become fixated on one aspect of their life. It could be their own health or appearance, or it may be their relationship. They are always seeking the ideal; the perfect love. And when they find him or her, they want to make it even more perfect.
Often this group will choose a mate who has ‘importance’ or great social standing. They come to depend on them for emotional support, though this person may be a friend or mentor rather than a lover.
In their quest for perfection Virgo—Libra cuspers will tend to be attracted to beautiful people. This can lead to the perception that they are only interested in superficial qualities. While this is true up to a point, once they make a deep connection with someone, they look way past that surface beauty. One other characteristic is that Virgo—Libra are not great ‘touchers’. Their physical needs are generally less important to them than their desire for intimate communication. People born in this week tend to enjoy platonic relationships, so any passion present at the start it likely to fizzle out eventually.
Libra 1: September 25—October 2
People born in this period have a great desire to better themselves. They are not afraid to work on improving various aspects of their life, work and personality. Always striving to be the best they can be. Libra 1s are sociable enough yet also enjoy being on their own. They love being the center of attention, yet at the same time they are compelled to work on solitary pursuits. This makes meeting new people and prospective lovers difficult.
The high standards that they set themselves are likely to lead to Libra 1 expecting the same from their mates. Their desire for perfection can lead to their downfall and difficulty in making connections. If they are able to set aside their concerns and try to see people as imperfect but potentially wonderful, they might have a better chance at finding their true love. It’s not a question of lowering your standards but instead making allowances for others to have normal human failings. It’s a human thing, Libra 1.
Partners of Libra 1s will be attracted to their seemingly emotional steadiness. Be aware that underneath they are all over the place with their feelings. A veritable turmoil of emotions is happening below the surface. They often repress their feelings in order to present an ‘acceptable front’. You will find it very hard to penetrate their emotional armor. If you can manage it, you will discover a fascinating person underneath.
Libra 2: October 3—10
A little like Libra 1s, people born in this week have excellent social skills, yet prefer their own company for much of the time. They are excellent researchers and have an insatiable curiosity which makes people turn them for advice. Libra 2s are sought out as friends and confidantes and, therefore, often find it difficult to get the downtime they crave.
Libra 2s find it hard to make intimate connections, mainly because they have a disconnect within themselves. They aren’t able to discern their true selves, thus, they have a distorted view of who they are. This means that they often choose partners who are highly unsuitable. Failed relationships lead to a lack of confidence and a low self-esteem, so Libra 2s should make a massive effort to examine their own feelings, personality and motivations before committing to any long-term relationship.
In personal relationships they are more likely to chastise themselves when things go wrong. They will always put the other person’s well-being before their own. Of course, this is generally a good thing, except when taken to extremes. Libra 2 must be aware that they have a tendency to subjugate their own wishes, desires and feelings… and then do something about it. Learn assertiveness. Find out what your wants and needs are. Journaling can be a great help to making that necessary connection to yourself.
Libra 3: October 11—18
A rock on the outside, a cauldron of emotions underneath. Libra 3 is no exception to that Libran trait of hiding their feelings under a cool exterior. People born in this week find it devilishy difficult to share their feelings with anyone. This, of course, can frustrate attempts to secure a deep connection with them. The thing to remember, Libra 3, is that to reach and maintain optimal psychological health, you need to make those human connections. You need to know when to ask for support. Don’t be an iceberg, floating all lonely and alone.
Libra 3s often settle on a partner who they view as subordinate, yet they would do better by looking for someone stronger, cleverer or a higher achiever than they are themselves. They will be less inclined to pick fights, blame or be irritated by them.
Partners of Libra 3s often feel as though they are in a relationship on their own. It’s like two people sharing a house. There may well be love between them but conversations tend towards dealing with mundane matters; never a sharing of worries, feelings, secrets, or intimacy. So Libra 3, you can’t let this happen. Your partner deserves more than this. Put some of your creative research skills to work and find out what it takes to make a relationship be the rewarding and life-sustaining thing it is.
Libra In Love
Overall, you’ll notice that those born under the sign of Libra share one overriding trait, and that is to hide their feelings. People who fall in love with a Libra need to understand that those feelings aren’t missing; they are there. It takes patience and lots of love… and an ability to shed minor rejections like a Labrador sheds his coat. Libra is hard to get to know, but once you do get under their skin, it’ll be worth it.
