One most certainly has to wonder if Osama bin Laden hasn’t been successful once again.
We have the bombings in India very probably performed by terrorist functions from Pakistan. We now have India and Pakistan sending troops to both of the borders, and both appealing to the United States for military support.
Whom would the United States support in a conflict? The country who was taken many of our jobs away and are providing cheap labor for our on American corporations, or the country who is supposedly our newfound friend in the war on terrorism? With both countries via nuclear countries, what shape of that conflict take?
And would Osama bin Laden once again forced United States to CONTINUE to spend money on a conflict far from home?
I would imagine that our first impulse would be to negotiate a truce between the two. But even that takes energy and money away from solving our problems here at home. What will President Obama do to allow us to get through these times? That answer remains to be seen.
I think it is time for us to concern ourselves with our homeland and saving ourselves. Sacrificing the USA for these countries is not an option IMO
