This is a copy of the eltter I sent to my representatives and to President Obama(that still sounds good to say) this afternoon.
I am writing to beg your indulgence concerning the Stimulus bill and the fact that illegal
aliens can receive work under this bill.As I am sure you are aware, the E-Verify section that would have verified that only Americans were receiving benefits was removed from this plan. This is irresponsible and not in consideration of the people of the United States, and of the great state we share, Tennessee.
We all know it is illegal to be in this country without proper documentation. We know it is illegal to employ people who are in this country illegally. we hear all the storys that they do work that Americans wont do which of course is false. Especially in this time of crisis.
I am not writing to complain about the stimulus plan itself as it is now law. I am asking for your leadership in getting what you can back into that plan. I am a lifelong Democrat. I am also writng to say that the Luis Gutierrez, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi agenda towards illegals here in the US NOT be expressed under this bill, which again is a bill to assist Americans in crisis.
I have been out of work since April of 2008. Work is moving out of my area. This is a crisis to me. The COBRA laws must be enforced as well as increases in unemployment must occur. As of now, almost everyone on my street is unemployed. Its a small street but its a section of America. We ask for your help in helping us to get work and assistance.

It is extremely upsetting to me that illegals can work under this plan. There is no doudt in my mind that Harry Reid does not have the interests of Americans in mind. At every turn Reid has turned the congress away from Americans especially in the area of illegal aliens.
