Demanding, yet loyal; egotistical, but passionate, Leo is one of the magnetically attractive signs. There are no half measures with Leo. They aren’t easy to live with but when they fall in love they do it with style and with a hundred percent commitment. Discover more about Leo: love and relationships and how to handle the lion’s tricky temperament.
Cancer-Leo Cusp July 19-25
The balance of moon and feminine energy with the sun and masculine energy can result in a well-balanced individual. Conversely it may also mean that the person has wildly fluctuating moods and characteristics. There are rarely any half measures with people born during this cusp week.
Those who know and love them quickly understand that the best way to determine their mood is to give them the space they need. You will soon be able to tell by the roar or the purr which way the day is headed. Don’t try to change their emotional levels; Cancer-Leo cuspers are resistant to manipulation of any kind even if it’s in their best interests.
People born in this week sometimes have difficulties balancing their need for excitement with their need for a stable relationship. This can lead to the uncomfortable situation of being one-step removed from their feelings and experiencing emotional blocks. When they are able to recognize this state of being, they can take corrective steps to bring themselves back on course. However, the younger the subject, the harder it is for them.
In close relationships, Leo-Cancer is as loyal as anyone but they need a partner who can hold their interest, amuse them, challenge them and handle them. Not easy for anyone, but rewarding in the extreme if you can manage it.
Leo 1 July 26-August 2
Leo 1s are focused and intense, but they have a certain way of detaching themselves emotionally. Their lovers will often notice that Leo 1 seems to be in competition with themselves, whether that be in the boardroom, the sports field, or the bedroom. Thus partners will sometimes feel sidelined, or on the outside observing Leo 1 living life as if on their own personal stage.
It’s not easy to conduct a relationship with someone who has such high standards for themselves, and it is easy to feel like you do not quite meet Leo 1’s high expectations. However, Leo 1 is generally more demanding of themselves than of their lovers. They are able to recognize that not everyone is as competitively focused as they are.
Lovers of Leo 1 might find it hard, but the best thing they can do is to keep demonstrating their own tolerant and understanding aspects, as Leo 1 will notice and change accordingly, to display a more caring side. If you are hoping to settle down and start a family then Leo 1 may not be the best choice. Some do take well to family life, proving themselves to be excellent parents, but for many, their tendency to be wrapped up in their own thing means that children feel excluded from their Leo 1 parent’s attention.
While Leo 1 is faithful to their love, if they lose interest, they will express their passion elsewhere with someone who offers the novelty value of a new challenge.
Leo 2 August 3-10
Leo 2’s positive traits of tenacity, loyalty, and not flinching from a challenge may also be their downfall, keeping them stuck in an unhappy relationship for longer than is healthy. Their single-minded determination can almost turn into a desperate masochistic state of affairs if they don’t learn how to let go. While many people would step back, their sheer endurance will keep them chained for far longer than the situation warrants. Not for them, the easy way out.
Successful relationships with a Leo 2 are, by virtue of the aforementioned determination, long lasting and rewarding. Although partners may experience the famous Leo detachment from time to time. This could also manifest itself in a form of depression mixed with stubbornness. Partners will learn pretty quickly that attempting to cajole or push Leo 2 out of these moods will never be successful. They have to work their way through it themselves.
On the brighter side, Leo 2 can deal with life’s setbacks and come out on top. They are able to play the long game; willing to hang in there until the timing is right for them to take action. In marriage and parenting, the more structure there is, the better they like it. Boundaries and ground rules give Leo 2 the stability and framework they need to conduct a happy, well-balanced life and give the best of themselves to their partner and family.
Leo 3 August 11-18
Whether male or female, Leo 3s will usually take the leadership role in any relationship. They are not dominant by any means, just that they pick up that authority in an easy and natural manner. One side effect of this is that they can take on too much responsibility and over-burden themselves. They should be encouraged to delegate and share before they become stressed.
The Leo insensitivity is also prevalent in this group and it means that lovers may feel as though their opinions and feelings don’t count. At the same time, Leo 3, by taking steps to avoid their own selfishness, is able to inspire a deep level of commitment and loyalty from their partners.
Leo 3 will, given the chance, avoid any job they feel is beneath them. So one thing Leo 3 can do to offset any such problems is to shoulder some of the more menial domestic tasks that are necessarily present in any live-in relationship. Their partners will soon come to appreciate the lessening of those chores.
Leo 3 is very typical of the Leo sign as a whole, and thrives on admiration and adoration. At the same time, there will be personality clashes with people with similarly strong and assertive characters. Leo 3’s temper can erupt in an explosion that can be quite scary. People who fall in love with Leo 3 will cleverly learn how to soothe the lion’s growls with that certain kind of love and attention they need.
