The zodiac sign of Virgo covers the dates August 23rd to September 22nd, but we’re doing things a little differently here. We’re also taking into account those who were born on the Leo-Virgo cusp from the 19th August. We’re also dividing the sign into weeks in order to see those subtle differences that a week makes within a zodiac sign. So let’s get a closer look at Virgo relationships.
Leo-Virgo Cusp: August 19—25
When meeting someone born in this week, you may be a little confused at their mix of introvert and extrovert characteristics. That’s because they have both energetic fire and passive earth in their astrological make-up. They will quietly observe you for a while and then surprise you with an outrageous joke. They may not reveal themselves to you immediately, and indeed, may never reveal everything about themselves ever. They are truly enigmatic.
If you like mystery, then you will enjoy spending time with someone born during this week. They have layers of personality which you can only peel away if you have patience. Leo-Virgos don’t need your admiration, they just want to be understood.
In a relationship, trust is the most important thing. It’s the same with friendships. Leo-Virgo must feel secure in the knowledge that you can keep anything they reveal about themselves secret. Should you betray that trust they will be devastated and you will never be allowed to get close to them again.
When a Leo-Virgo falls in love, they do it very gradually, or at least appear to. They are conservative about revealing the depth of their feelings just in case they are not reciprocated. Once they have committed, they commit to the relationship one hundred percent.
Virgo 1: August 26—September 2
People born during this week are extremely grounded. They prefer structure over disorder and like to know exactly where they stand in any situation, be it work, friendship or personal relationships. They are not loud people; they are steady and steadfast. Young Virgo 1s are often shy and it takes a little work to get them to reveal their true selves.
Virgo 1s have the best relationships with those who allow them to be themselves, who don’t pressure them and who they can trust. Once that magical combination transmutes into loving attraction, Virgo 1s begin to feel relaxed and may fall in love. They gradually learn how to let go of their need for a fixed framework of ‘rules for living’.
They are often drawn to extroverts who charm them and can play the fool – then Virgo 1s are quite able to play the fool alongside them. It just takes a little patience from their partner to let them feel comfortable. If they feel judged in any way, forget it. They will retreat into their shell, never to appear again.
One problem Virgo 1s have in both personal relationships and friendships, is that their down-to-earth, practical nature tends to attract needy people. Virgo 1s don’t really have the inner resources to cope with these situations and will sometimes experience emotional breakdown. For a long-term relationship to succeed, Virgo 1 needs a dependable, independent, outgoing partner.
Virgo 2: September 3—10
Virgo 2 is extremely adept at cultivating a persona that they want you to see. You may have to live and interact with this outer face without ever knowing or understanding what lies beneath. However, the persona they choose is usually friendly, outgoing and easy to get along with. They are good at offering help and support to others but hopeless at asking for help when they need it.
In relationships, they have very high standards and are picky about their close friends and partners. They may have a lot of acquaintances that they keep at arm’s length. Their true friends really are true. Their inner circle is usually tiny, perhaps consisting of a lover and a best friend — and they could be the same person.
When in love, they are surprisingly passionate and have particular tastes, which they will hardly ever verbalize. Their lovers need to be able to pick up on the subtle hints and clues. They also need to recognize when Virgo is being passionate and adventurous or when they just want a chaste cuddle.
Virgo 3: September 11—18
While Virgo 3 is a realist and a pragmatist, they also have a sense of their mental and spiritual power. They know that they are able to bring their exterior into line with their interior vision without any physical interference at all. They visualize it and then it happens.
This group are good judges of character and are able to recognize a kindred spirit within minutes of meeting them. Once formed, these bonds will last a lifetime. They are even able to remain lifelong friends with their ex partners. However, if they feel let down, or slighted, or that they are being treated unfairly, they can cut off relationships without hesitation. Generally speaking, Virgo 3s bring a calming, down-to-earth energy to their relationships. Yet in other spheres of their life they are very high energy, extrovert and can be quite demanding.
The lovers of Virgo 3 need to be strong-minded types, who are able to withstand the energies and high standards demanded of them. In tune they reap the benefits of Virgo’s nurturing instincts and loyalty.
Virgo Relationships and Friendships
Virgo is private, secretive but presents an outgoing and gregarious face to the world. They are loyal and down-to-earth. As lovers they are passionate and sexy, but they have to be able to trust their partners before they can let themselves go.
Friendships are important to them and they tend to keep their inner sanctum of friends very small and select. Once friends with a Virgo, you’ll probably be friends with them for life as long as you don’t expose their secrets or betray their trust. Never go talking behind your Virgo’s back. They’ll find out and you will be kicked out of the inner circle.
Virgo, you may feel you can change your partner or mold them into your idea, but you can’t. You have to accept them as they are, flaws and all, or let them go.
